Modern cars have a computerized Engine Control Unit (ECU) which controls many sub systems including piston temperature, timing, fuel/air mixture, turbo. Our ECU Remap service downloads data about these systems in the form of maps, then re-programmes, or remaps, the ECU to produce optimum settings. The result is an increase in power, torque and even MPG, which in turn results in:
- Increased top end speed
- Increased mid range responsivness
- Reduction in low rev flat spots
- Incresed fuel economy
Our sophisticated remap software allows for a range of ECU modifications from high performance through to increased fuel economy. Infact economy remaps are becoming increasinlgy popular providing, in some cases, massive gains.
Performance & economy remaps are available for a wide range of bike, cars, vans, plant and HGV's.

Many vehicles can be tuned diagnostically. OBDII remapping allows us to remap an ECU without removing it. Remapped software is uploaded direct to the ECU via the vehicle's diagnostic socket. For other vehicles it is necessary to remove the ECU and programme directly on the bench.

Petrol (Naturally Aspirated) A petrol engine ECU Remap often produces 10-15% BHP depending on exact specification. The engine will be more responsive on initial acceleration and produce more torque (up to 20%) throughout the entire rev range, giving more response on lighter throttle.
Petrol (Turbo). A petrol turbo engine ECU Remap can produce 15-30% BHP depending on exact specification. The engine will be significantly more responsive with power coming in immediately relative to throttle input with no lagging at higher revs. This large increase in power & torque gives far more flexibility in all gears reducing the need to change down unnecessarily to overtake safely and quickly.
Diesel & Turbo. A turbo diesel engine ECU remap can produce increases of 25-40% BHP and 40-75% torque depending on exact specification. Diesel engines give the most impressive power and torque gains available. Extra power is gained throughout the entire rev range and under all load conditions.
