Imported vehicles are required by law to conform to UK regulations. Necessary changes will depend on their country of origin. However, most will need to be converted from KPH to MPH.

Electronic Speedo Converter

One option is to install an electronic speedo converter to the rear of the vehicle's instrument cluster. This will convert KPH to MPH, the odometer will change from kilometres to miles and the speed limiter (Japanese imports) will be removed. The speedo will remain original.

Replacement Speedo Dial Fascia

Another option is to fit a replacement speedo dial fascia, or even a custom one, which shows MPH instead of KPH, and have the odometer converted to miles. Speedo looks like UK one.
